OMM 2010 Problem 4

    Sea nn un entero positivo. En una cuadrícula de n×4n \times 4, cada renglón es igual a

    2010\begin{array}{|c|c|c|c|}\hline 2 & 0 & 1 & 0 \\ \hline\end{array}

    Un cambio es tomar tres casillas

    a) consecutivas en el mismo renglón y

    b) con dígitos distintos escritos en ellas

    y cambiar los tres dígitos de estas casillas de la siguiente manera

    0→1,1→2,2→0.0 \to 1, \quad 1 \to 2, \quad 2 \to 0.

    Por ejemplo, un renglón 2010\begin{array}{|c|c|c|c|}\hline 2 & 0 & 1 & 0 \\ \hline\end{array} puede cambiarse al renglón 0120\begin{array}{|c|c|c|c|}\hline 0 & 1 & 2 & 0 \\ \hline\end{array} pero no al renglón 2121\begin{array}{|c|c|c|c|}\hline 2 & 1 & 2 & 1 \\ \hline\end{array} pues 0, 1 y 0 no son distintos entre sí.

    Los cambios se pueden aplicar cuantas veces se quiera, aún a renglones ya cambiados. Muestra que para n<12n < 12 no es posible hacer un número finito de cambios de forma que la suma de los números en cada una de las cuatro columnas sea la misma.
