A circle ω\omega lies in a circle Ω\Omega such that their common center is the point OO. Fix a point A≠OA\ne O inside ω\omega. Let XX denote an arbitrary point on the circumference of Ω\Omega, and let YY denote the second intersection point of Ω\Omega and the line AXAX. Let ZZ denote the intersection of ω\omega and the line segment AXAX. Let MM denote the point on the line segment AZAZ for which MX⋅MZ⋅AY=MA⋅MY⋅XZMX\cdot MZ\cdot AY = MA\cdot MY\cdot XZ. Let xx and yy denote the tangents of the circle Ω\Omega at the points XX and YY, respectively. Let tt denote the line that passes through MM and either also passes through the intersection of xx and yy, or is parallel to both xx and yy. Finally, let TT denote the intersection of tt and the line OZOZ. Show that the locus of the points TT, as XX is varied, is an ellipse, and the line tt is a tangent of this ellipse.
