Let n=2128n = 2^{128}, M={1,2,3,4}M = \{1, 2, 3, 4\}, and let MnM^n denote the set of sequences of length nn and consisting of elements of MM. Decide whether there exist functions f1,…,fnf_1,\ldots,f_n and g1,…,gn ⁣:Mn→Mg_1,\ldots,g_n\colon M^n\to M such that for every pair of sequences (x1,…,xn),(y1,…,yn)∈Mn,(x_1,\ldots,x_n),(y_1,\ldots,y_n)\in M^n, at least one of the following statements holds: ∙\bullet fi(y1,…,yn)=xif_i(y_1,\ldots,y_n) = x_i for some index ii with 1≤i≤n1\le i\le n; ∙\bullet gj(x1,…,xn)=yjg_j(x_1,\ldots,x_n) = y_j for some index jj with 1≤j≤n1\le j\le n.
