Problem 1

In a country there are n≥2n\geq 2 cities. Any two cities has exactly one two-way airway. The government wants to license several airlines to take charge of these airways with such following conditions:

i) Every airway can be licensed to exactly one airline. ii) By choosing one arbitrary airline, we can move from a city to any other cities, using only flights from this airline.

What is the maximum number of airlines that the government can license to satisfy all of these conditions?

Problem 2

For each positive integer nn , show that the polynomial: Pn(x)=∑k=0n2k(2n2k)xk(x−1)n−kP_n(x)=\sum _{k=0}^n2^k\binom{2n}{2k}x^k(x-1)^{n-k} has nn real roots.

Problem 3

Given an acute scalene triangle ABCABC inscribed in circle (O)(O) . Let HH be its orthocenter and MM be the midpoint of BCBC . Let DD lie on the opposite rays of HAHA so that BC=2DMBC=2DM . Let D′D' be the reflection of DD through line BCBC and XX be the intersection of AOAO and MDMD .

a) Show that AMAM bisects D′XD'X .

b) Similarly, we define the points E,FE,F like DD and Y,ZY,Z like XX . Let SS be the intersection of tangent lines from B,CB,C with respect to (O)(O) . Let GG be the projection of the midpoint of ASAS to the line AOAO . Show that there exists a point with the same power to all the circles (BEY),(CFZ),(SGO)(BEY),(CFZ),(SGO) and (O)(O) .

Problem 4

Find all triplets of positive integers (x,y,z)(x, y, z) such that 2x+1=7y+2z2^x+1=7^y+2^z .

Problem 5

Given a scalene triangle ABCABC inscribed in the circle (O)(O) . Let (I)(I) be its incircle and BI,CIBI,CI cut AC,ABAC,AB at E,FE,F respectively. A circle passes through EE and touches OBOB at BB cuts (O)(O) again at MM . Similarly, a circle passes through FF and touches OCOC at CC cuts (O)(O) again at NN . ME,NFME,NF cut (O)(O) again at P,QP,Q . Let KK be the intersection of EFEF and BCBC and let PQPQ cuts BCBC and EFEF at G,HG,H , respectively. Show that the median correspond to GG of the triangle GHKGHK is perpendicular to IOIO .

Problem 6

In the real axis, there is bug standing at coordinate x=1x=1 . Each step, from the position x=ax=a , the bug can jump to either x=a+2x=a+2 or x=a2x=\frac{a}{2} . Show that there are precisely Fn+4−(n+4)F_{n+4}-(n+4) positions (including the initial position) that the bug can jump to by at most nn steps.

Recall that FnF_n is the nthn^{th} element of the Fibonacci sequence, defined by F0=F1=1F_0=F_1=1 , Fn+1=Fn+Fn−1F_{n+1}=F_n+F_{n-1} for all n≥1n\geq 1 .
