Problem 1

Find all triples (x,y,z)(x,y,z) of positive integers such that (x+1)y+1+1=(x+2)z+1(x+1)^{y+1}+1=(x+2)^{z+1} .

Problem 2

Let a1,a2,...,a1999a_{1},a_{2},...,a_{1999} be a sequence of nonnegative integers such that for any i,ji,j with i+j≤1999i+j\leq 1999 , ai+aj≤ai+j≤ai+aj+1a_{i}+a_{j}\leq a_{i+j}\leq a_{i}+a_{j}+1 . Prove that there exists a real number xx such that an=[nx]∀na_{n}=[nx]\forall n .

Problem 3

There are 19991999 people participating in an exhibition. Among any 5050 people there are two who don't know each other. Prove that there are 4141 people, each of whom knows at most 19581958 people.

Problem 4

Let P∗P^{*} be the set of primes less than 1000010000 . Find all possible primes p∈P∗p\in P^{*} such that for each subset S={p1,p2,...,pk}S=\{p_{1},p_{2},...,p_{k}\} of P∗P^{*} with k≥2k\geq 2 and each p∉Sp\not\in S , there is a q∈P∗−Sq\in P^{*}-S such that q+1q+1 divides (p1+1)(p2+1)...(pk+1)(p_{1}+1)(p_{2}+1)...(p_{k}+1) .

Problem 5

Let AD,BE,CFAD,BE,CF be the altitudes of an acute triangle ABCABC with AB>ACAB>AC . Line EFEF meets BCBC at PP , and line through DD parallel to EFEF meets ACAC and ABAB at QQ and RR , respectively. Let NN be any poin on side BCBC such that NQP^+NRP^<1800\widehat{NQP}+\widehat{NRP}<180^{0} . Prove that BN>CNBN>CN .

Problem 6

There are eight different symbols designed on n≥2n\geq 2 different T-shirts. Each shirt contains at least one symbol, and no two shirts contain all the same symbols. Suppose that for any kk symbols (1≤k≤7)(1\leq k\leq 7) the number of shirts containing at least one of the kk symbols is even. Determine the value of nn .
