Problem 1

Let n,m∈Nn, m \in \mathbb{N} ; a1,…,am∈Zna_1,\ldots, a_m \in \mathbb{Z}^n . Show that nonnegative integer linear combinations of these vectors give exactly the whole Zn\mathbb{Z}^n lattice, if m≥nm \ge n and the following two statements are satisfied:

  • The vectors do not fall into the half-space of Rn\mathbb{R}^n containing the origin (i.e. they do not fall on the same side of an n−1n-1 dimensional subspace),
  • the largest common divisor (not pairwise, but together) of n×nn \times n minor determinants of the matrix (a1,…,am)(a_1,\ldots, a_m) (which is of size m×nm \times n and the ii -th column is aia_i as a column vector) is 11 .

Problem 2

Problem 6

Let ff and gg be 2π2 \pi -periodic integrable functions such that in some neighborhood of 00 , g(x)=f(ax)g(x) = f(ax) with some a≠0a \neq 0 . Prove that the Fourier series of ff and gg are simultaneously convergent or divergent at 00 .

Problem 7

If the binary representations of the positive integers kk and nn are k=∑i=0∞ki2ik = \sum_{i=0}^{\infty} k_i 2^i and n=∑i=0∞ni2in = \sum_{i=0}^{\infty} n_i 2^i , then the logical sum of these numbers is k⊕n=∑i=0∞∣ki−ni∣2i.k \oplus n =\sum_{i=0}^{\infty} |k_i-n_i|2^i.
