Day 1

Problem 1

  • Day 1

Find all positive intgers a,ba,b and cc such that a+ba+c=b+cb+a\frac{a+b}{a+c}=\frac{b+c}{b+a} and ab+bc+caab+bc+ca is a prime number

Answer, solutions and source

Problem 2

  • Day 1

In triangle ABCABC ,let MM be the midpoint of the side BCBC ,and NN is the midpoint of the segment AMAM ,the circle going through NN and tangent the line ACAC at AA intersects the segment ABAB again in PP .

prove that the circumcircle of triangle BPMBPM is tangent the line AMAM

Problem 3

  • Day 1

Given an integer n≥1n \geq 1, Jo-Ané alternately writes crosses (X\mathcal{X}) and circles (O\mathcal{O}) in the cells of a square grid with 2n+12n + 1 rows and 2n+12n + 1 columns: she first writes a cross in a cell, then a circle in a second cell, then a cross in a third cell, and so on. When the table is completely filled, her score is calculated as the sum X+O\mathcal{X}+ \mathcal{O}, where X\mathcal{X} is the number of rows containing more crosses than circles and O\mathcal{O} is the number of columns containing more circles than crosses.

Determine, in terms of nn, the highest possible score that Jo-Ané can obtain..

Problem 4

  • Day 2

Consider mm segments on the real line. Each segment has its two endpoints in the set of integers {1,2,…,2024}\{1, 2, \ldots, 2024\} , and no two segments have the same length. No segment is entirely contained in another segment, but two segments may partially overlap each other.

What is the maximum value of mm ?

Problem 5

  • Day 2

Let R\mathbb{R} denote the set of real numbers. Find all functions f:R→Rf: \mathbb{R} \to \mathbb{R} such that

f(x2)−yf(y)=f(x+y)(f(x)−y)f(x^2) - y f(y) = f(x+y)(f(x) - y)

for all real numbers xx and yy.
