  • f(xyz)+f(x)+f(y)+f(z)=f(xy)f(yz)f(zx)f(xyz)+f(x)+f(y)+f(z)=f(\sqrt{xy})f(\sqrt{yz})f(\sqrt{zx}) for all x,y,z∈R+x,y,z\in\mathbb{R}^+ ;

  • f(x)<f(y)f(x)<f(y) for all 1≤x<y1\le x<y .

Let nn be a positive integer and let (x1,…,xn)(x_1,\ldots,x_n) , (y1,…,yn)(y_1,\ldots,y_n) be two sequences of positive real numbers. Suppose (z2,…,z2n)(z_2,\ldots,z_{2n}) is a sequence of positive real numbers such that zi+j2≥xiyjz_{i+j}^2 \geq x_iy_j for all 1≤i,j≤n1\le i,j \leq n .

Let M=max⁡{z2,…,z2n}M=\max\{z_2,\ldots,z_{2n}\} . Prove that (M+z2+⋯+z2n2n)2≥(x1+⋯+xnn)(y1+⋯+ynn).\left( \frac{M+z_2+\dots+z_{2n}}{2n} \right)^2 \ge \left( \frac{x_1+\dots+x_n}{n} \right) \left( \frac{y_1+\dots+y_n}{n} \right).

Let ABCABC be an isosceles triangle with AC=BCAC=BC , whose incentre is II . Let PP be a point on the circumcircle of the triangle AIBAIB lying inside the triangle ABCABC . The lines through PP parallel to CACA and CBCB meet ABAB at DD and EE , respectively. The line through PP parallel to ABAB meets CACA and CBCB at FF and GG , respectively. Prove that the lines DFDF and EGEG intersect on the circumcircle of the triangle ABCABC .

Let mm be a fixed integer greater than 11 . The sequence x0x_0 , x1x_1 , x2x_2 , …\ldots is defined as follows: xi={2iif 0≤i≤m−1;∑j=1mxi−jif i≥m.x_i = \begin{cases}2^i&\text{if }0\leq i \leq m - 1;\sum_{j=1}^mx_{i-j}&\text{if }i\geq m.\end{cases} Find the greatest kk for which the sequence contains kk consecutive terms divisible by mm .

The sequence a0a_0 , a1a_1 , a2,a_2, …\ldots is defined as follows: a0=2,ak+1=2ak2−1for k≥0.a_0=2, a_{k+1}=2a_k^2-1 \text{for }k \geq 0. Prove that if an odd prime pp divides ana_n , then 2n+32^{n+3} divides p2−1p^2-1 .

Here is a nice problem:

Let be given a sequence ana_n such that a0=2a_0=2 and an+1=2an2−1a_{n+1}=2a_n^2-1 . Show that if pp is an odd prime such that p∣anp|a_n then we have p2≡1(mod2n+3)p^2\equiv 1\pmod{2^{n+3}} Here are some futher question proposed by me :Prove or disprove that :

  1. gcd(n,an)=1gcd(n,a_n)=1 2) for every odd prime number pp we have am≡±1(modp)a_m\equiv \pm 1\pmod{p} where m=p2−12km=\frac{p^2-1}{2^k} where k=1k=1 or 22 Thanks kiu si u

Problem 8

Let pp be a prime number and let AA be a set of positive integers that satisfies the following conditions:

(i) the set of prime divisors of the elements in AA consists of p−1p-1 elements;

(ii) for any nonempty subset of AA , the product of its elements is not a perfect pp -th power.

What is the largest possible number of elements in AA ?
