  • Paper 2

Suppose a,b,ca, b, c are real numbers such that abc≠0abc \ne 0 . Determine x,y,zx, y, z in terms of a,b,ca, b, c such that bz+cy=a,cx+az=b,ay+bx=cbz + cy = a, cx + az = b, ay + bx = c . Prove also that 1−x2a2=1−y2b2=1−z2c2\frac{1 - x^2}{a^2} = \frac{1 - y^2}{b^2} = \frac{1 - z^2}{c^2} .
