The planes of an ellipse E\mathcal E and a hyperbola H\mathcal H in the space are perpendicular. The foci of E\mathcal E are the endpoints of the real axis of H\mathcal H, and the foci of H\mathcal H are the endpoints of the major axis of E\mathcal E. Let AA be BB two fixed points on different branches of hyperbola H\mathcal H, and let PP be an arbitrary point of the ellipse. Prove that the sum of the distances PAPA and PBPB is independent of the choice of PP.
