  • Answer

Suppose ABCDA B C D is an isosceles trapezoid in which AB‾∥CD‾\overline{A B} \| \overline{C D}. Two mutually externally tangent circles ω1\omega_{1} and ω2\omega_{2} are inscribed in ABCDA B C D such that ω1\omega_{1} is tangent to AB‾,BC‾\overline{A B}, \overline{B C}, and CD‾\overline{C D} while ω2\omega_{2} is tangent to AB‾,DA‾\overline{A B}, \overline{D A}, and CD‾\overline{C D}. Given that AB=1,CD=6A B=1, C D=6, compute the radius of either circle.
