Problem 1

In △ABC\triangle ABC , points PP and QQ lie on sides ABAB and ACAC , respectively, such that the circumcircle of △APQ\triangle APQ is tangent to BCBC at DD . Let EE lie on side BCBC such that BD=ECBD = EC . Line DPDP intersects the circumcircle of △CDQ\triangle CDQ again at XX , and line DQDQ intersects the circumcircle of △BDP\triangle BDP again at YY . Prove that DD , EE , XX , and YY are concyclic.

Problem 2

Let n>1n > 1 be an integer and let a1,a2,…,ana_1, a_2, \ldots, a_n be integers such that n∣ai−in \mid a_i-i for all integers 1≤i≤n1 \leq i \leq n . Prove there exists an infinite sequence b1,b2,…b_1,b_2, \ldots such that

  • bk∈{a1,a2,…,an}b_k\in\{a_1,a_2,\ldots, a_n\} for all positive integers kk , and
  • ∑k=1∞bknk\sum\limits_{k=1}^{\infty}\frac{b_k}{n^k} is an integer.

Problem 3

Each cell of a 100×100100\times 100 grid is colored with one of 101101 colors. A cell is diverse if, among the 199199 cells in its row or column, every color appears at least once. Determine the maximum possible number of diverse cells.

Problem 4

The set of positive integers is partitioned into nn disjoint infinite arithmetic progressions S1,S2,…,SnS_1, S_2, \ldots, S_n with common differences d1,d2,…,dnd_1, d_2, \ldots, d_n , respectively. Prove that there exists exactly one index 1≤i≤n1\leq i \leq n such that1di∏j=1ndj∈Si.\frac{1}{d_i}\prod_{j=1}^n d_j \in S_i.

Problem 5

Let nn and kk be positive integers. Two infinite sequences {si}i≥1\{s_i\}_{i\geq 1} and {ti}i≥1\{t_i\}_{i\geq 1} are equivalent if, for all positive integers ii and jj , si=sjs_i = s_j if and only if ti=tjt_i = t_j . A sequence {ri}i≥1\{r_i\}_{i\geq 1} has equi-period kk if r1,r2,…r_1, r_2, \ldots and rk+1,rk+2,…r_{k+1}, r_{k+2}, \ldots are equivalent.

Suppose MM infinite sequences with equi-period kk whose terms are in the set {1,…,n}\{1, \ldots, n\} can be chosen such that no two chosen sequences are equivalent to each other. Determine the largest possible value of MM in terms of nn and kk .

Problem 6

In △ABC\triangle ABC , points DD , EE , and FF lie on sides BCBC , CACA , and ABAB , respectively, such that each of the quadrilaterals AFDEAFDE , BDEFBDEF , and CEFDCEFD has an incircle. Prove that the inradius of △ABC\triangle ABC is twice the inradius of △DEF\triangle DEF .
