Problem 1

Let a,ba, b be distinct real numbers and k,mk,m be positive integers k+m=n≥3,k≤2m,m≤2kk + m = n \ge 3, k \le 2m, m \le 2k . Consider sequences x1,…,xnx_1,\dots , x_n with the following properties: (i) kk terms xix_i , including x1x_1 , are equal to aa ; (ii) mm terms xix_i , including xnx_n , are equal to bb ; (iii) no three consecutive terms are equal. Find all possible values of xnx1x2+x1x2x3+⋯+xn−1xnx1x_nx_1x_2 + x_1x_2x_3 + \cdots + x_{n-1}x_nx_1 .

Problem 2

A triangle ABCABC has sides BC=a,CA=b,AB=cBC = a, CA = b, AB = c with a<b<ca < b < c and area SS . Determine the largest number uu and the least number vv such that, for every point PP inside △ABC\triangle ABC , the inequality u≤PD+PE+PF≤vu \le PD + PE + PF \le v holds, where D,E,FD,E, F are the intersection points of AP,BP,CPAP,BP,CP with the opposite sides.

Problem 3

Let S={1,2,⋯ ,n},n∈NS = \{1, 2, \cdots , n\}, n \in N . Find the number of functions f:S→Sf : S \to S with the property that x+f(f(f(f(x))))=n+1x + f(f(f(f(x)))) = n + 1 for all x∈Sx \in S ?

Problem 4

An integer n>1n > 1 and a prime pp are such that nn divides p−1p-1 , and pp divides n3−1n^3 - 1 . Prove that 4p−34p - 3 is a perfect square.

Problem 5

In an acute-angled triangle ABCABC with circumcenter OO , points PP and QQ are taken on sides ACAC and BCBC respectively such that APPQ=BCAB\frac{AP}{PQ} = \frac{BC}{AB} and BQPQ=ACAB\frac{BQ}{PQ} =\frac{AC}{AB} . Prove that the points O,P,Q,CO, P,Q,C lie on a circle.
