BALTIC-WAY 2016 Problem 5

Let p>3p>3 be a prime such that p≡3( mod 4)p \equiv 3(\bmod 4). Given a positive integer a0a_{0}, define the sequence a0,a1,…a_{0}, a_{1}, \ldots of integers by an=an−12na_{n}=a_{n-1}^{2^{n}} for all n=1,2,…n=1,2, \ldots Prove that it is possible to choose a0a_{0} such that the subsequence aN,aN+1,aN+2,…a_{N}, a_{N+1}, a_{N+2}, \ldots is not constant modulo pp for any positive integer NN.
