Problem 1

Prove that if the feet of the altitudes of a tetrahedron are the incenters of the corresponding faces, then the tetrahedron is regular.

Problem 2

Let AA be the set of four-digit natural numbers having exactly two distinct digits, none of which is zero. Interchanging the two digits of n∈An\in A yields a number f(n)∈Af (n) \in A (for instance, f(3111)=1333f (3111) = 1333 ). Find those n∈An \in A with n>f(n)n > f (n) for which gcd(n,f(n))gcd(n, f (n)) is the largest possible.

Problem 3

Show that for n>1n>1 and any positive real numbers k,x1,x2,...,xnk,x_{1},x_{2},...,x_{n} then f(x1−x2)x1+x2+f(x2−x3)x2+x3+...+f(xn−x1)xn+x1≥n22(x1+x2+...+xn)\frac{f(x_{1}-x_{2})}{x_{1}+x_{2}}+\frac{f(x_{2}-x_{3})}{x_{2}+x_{3}}+...+\frac{f(x_{n}-x_{1})}{x_{n}+x_{1}}\geq \frac{n^2}{2(x_{1}+x_{2}+...+x_{n})} Where f(x)=kxf(x)=k^x . When does equality hold.

Problem 4

A regular heptagon A1A2...A7A_1A_2... A_7 is inscribed in circle CC . Point PP is taken on the shorter arc A7A1A_7A_1 . Prove that PA1+PA3+PA5+PA7=PA2+PA4+PA6PA_1+PA_3+PA_5+PA_7 = PA_2+PA_4+PA_6 .

Problem 5

Given n>2n > 2 nonnegative distinct integers a1,...,ana_1,...,a_n , find all nonnegative integers yy and x1,...,xnx_1,...,x_n satisfying gcd(x1,...,xn)=1gcd(x_1,...,x_n) = 1 and {a1x1+a2x2+...+anxn=yx1a2x1+a3x2+...+a1xn=yx2...anx1+a1x2+...+an−1xn=yxn\begin{cases} a_1x_1 + a_2x_2 +...+ a_nx_n = yx_1 a_2x_1 + a_3x_2 +...+ a_1x_n = yx_2 ... a_nx_1 + a_1x_2 +...+ a_{n-1}x_n = yx_n \end{cases}

Problem 6

In a dancing hall, there are nn girls standing in one row and nn boys in the other row across them (so that all 2n2n dancers form a 2×n2 \times n board). Each dancer gives her / his left hand to a neighboring person standing to the left, across, or diagonally to the left. The analogous rule applies for right hands. No dancer gives both hands to the same person. In how many ways can the dancers do this?

Problem 7

A m×nm\times n matrix (aij)(a_{ij}) of real numbers satisfies ∣aij∣<1|a_{ij}| <1 and ∑i=1maij=0\sum_{i=1}^m a_{ij}= 0 for all jj . Show that one can permute the entries in each column in such a way that the obtained matrix (bij)(b_{ij}) satisfies ∑j=1nbij<2\sum_{j=1}^n b_{ij} < 2 for all ii .

Problem 8

The functions f0,f1:(1,∞)→(1,∞)f_0,f_1 : (1,\infty) \to (1,\infty) are given by f0(x)=2xf_0(x) = 2x and f1(x)=xx−1f_1(x) =\frac{x}{x-1} . Show that for any real numbers a,ba, b with 1≤a<b1 \le a < b there exist a positive integer kk and indices i1,i2,...,ik∈{0,1}i_1,i_2,...,i_k \in \{0,1\} such that a<fik(fik−1(...(fij(2))...))<ba <f_{i_k}(f_{i_{k-1}}(...(f_{i_j}(2))...))< b .

Problem 9

Find all functions f:Q→Rf: Q \to R satisfying f(x+y)=f(x)f(y)−f(xy)+1f (x + y) = f (x)f (y) - f(xy) + 1 for all x,y∈Qx,y \in Q
