Problem 1

Let a=1111…1111a=1111\dots1111 and b=1111…1111b=1111\dots1111 where aa has forty ones and bb has twelve ones. Determine the greatest common divisor of aa and bb .

Problem 2

Fifty points are chosen inside a convex polygon having eighty sides such that no three of the fifty points lie on the same straight line. The polygon is cut into triangles such that the vertices of the triangles are just the fifty points and the eighty vertices of the polygon. How many triangles are there?

Problem 3

Find all real numbers xx such that x⌊x⌊x⌊x⌋⌋⌋=88x\lfloor x\lfloor x\lfloor x\rfloor\rfloor\rfloor=88 . The notation ⌊x⌋\lfloor x\rfloor means the greatest integer less than or equal to xx .

Problem 4

Let A1A_1 and B1B_1 be two points on the base ABAB of isosceles triangle ABCABC (with C^>60∘\widehat{C}>60^\circ ) such that A1CB1^=BAC^\widehat{A_1CB_1}=\widehat{BAC} . A circle externally tangent to the circumcircle of triangle △A1B1C\triangle A_1B_1C is tangent also to rays CACA and CBCB at points A2A_2 and B2B_2 respectively. Prove that A2B2=2ABA_2B_2=2AB .

Problem 5

For n≥2n\ge 2 , find the number of integers xx with 0≤x<n0\le x<n , such that x2x^2 leaves a remainder of 11 when divided by nn .

Problem 6

The numbers a1,a2a_1,a_2 and a3a_3 are distinct positive integers, such that

(i) a1a_1 is a divisor of a2+a3+a2a3a_2+a_3+a_2a_3 ;

(ii) a2a_2 is a divisor of a3+a1+a3a1a_3+a_1+a_3a_1 ;

(iii) a3a_3 is a divisor of a1+a2+a1a2a_1+a_2+a_1a_2 .

Prove that a1,a2a_1,a_2 and a3a_3 cannot all be prime.
