Other problems

Problem 1

In an acute-angled triangle ABCABC on the sides ABAB , BCBC , ACAC the points HH , LL , KK so that CH⊥ABCH \perp AB , HL∥ACHL \parallel AC , HK∥BCHK \parallel BC . Let PP and QQ feet of altitudes of a triangle HBLHBL , drawn from the vertices HH and BB respectively. Prove that the feet of the altitudes of the triangle AKHAKH , drawn from the vertices AA and HH lie on the line PQPQ .

Problem 2

Find all functions f: R→Rf:\ \mathbb{R}\rightarrow\mathbb{R} such that for any real number xx the equalities are true: f(x+1)=1+f(x)f\left(x+1\right)=1+f(x) and f(x4−x2)=f4(x)−f2(x).f\left(x^4-x^2\right)=f^4(x)-f^2(x). source

Problem 3

Given the natural nn . We shall call word sequence from nn letters of the alphabet, and distance ρ(A,B)\rho(A, B) between words A=a1a2…anA=a_1a_2\dots a_n and B=b1b2…bnB=b_1b_2\dots b_n , the number of digits in which they differ (that is, the number of such ii , for which ai≠bia_i\ne b_i ). We will say that the word CC lies between words AA and BB , if ρ(A,B)=ρ(A,C)+ρ(C,B)\rho (A,B)=\rho(A,C)+\rho(C,B) . What is the largest number of words you can choose so that among any three, there is a word lying between the other two?

Problem 4

Does there exist a sequence of positive integers a1,a2,...a_1,a_2,... such that every positive integer occurs exactly once and that the number τ(nan+1n+(n+1)ann+1)\tau (na_{n+1}^n+(n+1)a_n^{n+1}) is divisible by nn for all positive integer.

Here τ(n)\tau (n) denotes the number of positive divisor of nn .
