SCHWEITZER 2018 Problem 1

Let S⊂RS\subset \mathbb{R} be a closed set and f:R2n→Rf:\mathbb{R}^{2n}\to \mathbb{R} be a continuous function. Define a graph GG as follows: Let xx be a vertex of GG iff x∈Rnx\in \mathbb{R}^{n} and f(x,x)∉Sf(x,x)\not\in S , then connect the vertices xx and yy by an edge in GG iff f(x,y)∈Sf(x,y)\in S or f(y,x)∈Sf(y,x)\in S . Show that the chromatic number of GG is countable.
