Problem 5

In a triangle A1A2A3A_1A_2A_3 , the excribed circles corresponding to sides A2A3A_2A_3 , A3A1A_3A_1 , A1A2A_1A_2 touch these sides at T1T_1 , T2T_2 , T3T_3 , respectively. If H1H_1 , H2H_2 , H3H_3 are the orthocenters of triangles A1T2T3A_1T_2T_3 , A2T3T1A_2T_3T_1 , A3T1T2A_3T_1T_2 , respectively, prove that lines H1T1H_1T_1 , H2T2H_2T_2 , H3T3H_3T_3 are concurrent.

Problem 6

Let n≥3n \ge 3 be an integer. A finite number of disjoint arcs with the total sum of length 1−1n1 -\frac{1}{n} are given on a circle of perimeter 11 . Prove that there is a regular nn -gon whose all vertices lie on the considered arcs

Problem 7

Let x1,x2,...,x2nx_1,x_2,...,x_{2n} be positive real numbers with the sum 11 . Prove that x12x22...xn2+x22x32...xn+12+...+x2n2x12...xn−12<1n2nx_1^2x_2^2...x_n^2+x_2^2x_3^2...x_{n+1}^2+...+x_{2n}^2x_1^2...x_{n-1}^2 <\frac{1}{n^{2n}}

Problem 8

Let n,a,bn, a, b be integers with n≥2n \geq 2 and a∉{0,1}a \notin \{0, 1\} and let u(x)=ax+bu(x) = ax + b be the function defined on integers. Show that there are infinitely many functions f:Z→Zf : \mathbb{Z} \rightarrow \mathbb{Z} such that fn(x)=f(f(⋯f⏟n(x)⋯ ))=u(x)f_n(x) = \underbrace{f(f(\cdots f}_{n}(x) \cdots )) = u(x) for all xx . If a=1a = 1 , show that there is a bb for which there is no ff with fn(x)≡u(x)f_n(x) \equiv u(x) .

Problem 9

The diagonals of a pentagon ABCDEABCDE determine another pentagon MNPQRMNPQR . If MNPQRMNPQR and ABCDEABCDE are similar, must ABCDEABCDE be regular?

Problem 10

Let a1<a2<⋯<ana_1<a_2<\cdots<a_n be positive integers. Some colouring of Z\mathbb{Z} is periodic with period tt such that for each x∈Zx\in \mathbb{Z} exactly one of x+a1,x+a2,…,x+anx+a_1,x+a_2,\dots,x+a_n is coloured. Prove that n∣tn\mid t .
