Other problems

Problem 1

Let aa be a fixed positive integer. Find the largest integer bb such that (x+a)(x+b)=x+a+b(x+a)(x+b)=x+a+b , for some integer xx .

Problem 2

One have nn distinct circles(with the same radius) such that for any k+1k+1 circles there are (at least) two circles that intersects in two points. Show that for each line ll one can make kk lines, each one parallel with ll , such that each circle has (at least) one point of intersection with some of these lines.

Problem 3

Show that there are infinitely many pairs of positive integers (m,n)(m,n) , with m<nm<n , such that mm divides n2016+n2015+⋯+n2+n+1n^{2016}+n^{2015}+\dots+n^2+n+1 and nn divides m2016+m2015+⋯+m2+m+1m^{2016}+m^{2015} +\dots+m^2+m+1 .

Problem 4

Is there a number nn such that one can write nn as the sum of 20172017 perfect squares and (with at least) 20172017 distinct ways?

Problem 5

Let ABCABC be a triangle and II is your incenter, let PP be a point in ACAC such that PIPI is perpendicular to ACAC , and let DD be the reflection of BB wrt circumcenter of △ABC\triangle ABC . The line DIDI intersects again the circumcircle of △ABC\triangle ABC in the point QQ . Prove that QPQP is the angle bisector of the angle ∠AQC\angle AQC .

Problem 6

For each fixed positiver integer nn , n≥4n\geq 4 and PP an integer, let (P)n∈[1,n](P)_n \in [1, n] be the smallest positive residue of PP modulo nn . Two sequences a1,a2,…,aka_1, a_2, \dots, a_k and b1,b2,…,bkb_1, b_2, \dots, b_k with the terms in [1,n][1, n] are defined as equivalent, if there is tt positive integer, gcd (t,n)=1(t,n)=1 , such that the sequence (ta1)n,…,(tak)n(ta_1)_n, \dots, (ta_k)_n is a permutation of b1,b2,…,bkb_1, b_2, \dots, b_k . Let α\alpha a sequence of size nn and your terms are in [1,n][1, n] , such that each term appears hh times in the sequence α\alpha and 2h≥n2h\geq n . Show that α\alpha is equivalent to some sequence β\beta which contains a subsequence such that your size is(at most) equal to hh and your sum is exactly equal to nn .
