Problem 1

Find all positive integers nn with the following property: there exists a polynomial Pn(x)P_n(x) of degree nn , with integer coefficients, such that Pn(0)=0P_n(0)=0 and Pn(x)=nP_n(x)=n for nn distinct integer solutions.

Problem 2

Consider a prism, not necessarily right, whose base is a rhombus ABCDABCD with side AB=5AB = 5 and diagonal AC=8AC = 8 . A sphere of radius rr is tangent to the plane ABCDABCD at CC and tangent to the edges AA1AA_1 , BB1BB _1 and DD1DD_ 1 of the prism. Calculate rr .

Problem 3

Prove that there are infinitely many positive integers nn such that the number of positive divisors in 2n−12^n-1 is greater than nn .

Problem 4

Circles c1c_1 and c2c_2 are tangent internally to circle cc at points AA and BB , respectively, as seen in the figure. The inner tangent common to c1c_1 and c2c_2 touches these circles in PP and QQ , respectively. Show that the APAP and BQBQ lines intersect the circle cc at diametrically opposite points. Image

Problem 5

Let x1,x2,...,xnx_1, x_2, ... , x_n be non-negative numbers n≥3n\ge3 such that x1+x2+...+xn=1x_1 + x_2 + ... + x_n = 1 . Determine the maximum possible value of the expression x1x2+x2x3+...+xn−1xnx_1x_2 + x_2x_3 + ... + x_{n-1}x_n .

Problem 6

Let NN be the set of positive integers. Determine if there is a function f:N→Nf: N\to N such that f(f(n))=2nf(f(n))=2n , for all nn belongs to NN .
