Other problems

Problem 1

How many positive integer solutions does the equation have ⌊x10⌋=⌊x11⌋+1?\left\lfloor\frac{x}{10}\right\rfloor= \left\lfloor\frac{x}{11}\right\rfloor + 1? ( ⌊x⌋\lfloor x \rfloor denotes the integer part of xx , for example ⌊2⌋=2\lfloor 2\rfloor = 2 , ⌊π⌋=3\lfloor \pi\rfloor = 3 , ⌊2⌋=1\lfloor \sqrt2 \rfloor =1 )

Problem 2

Some of the people attending a meeting greet each other. Let nn be the number of people who greet an odd number of people. Prove that nn is even.

Problem 3

Let ABCDABCD be a trapezium with bases ABAB and CDCD such that AB=2CDAB = 2 CD . From AA the line rr is drawn perpendicular to BCBC and from BB the line tt is drawn perpendicular to ADAD . Let PP be the intersection point of rr and tt . From CC the line ss is drawn perpendicular to BCBC and from DD the line uu perpendicular to ADAD . Let QQ be the intersection point of ss and uu . If RR is the intersection point of the diagonals of the trapezium, prove that points P,QP, Q and RR are collinear.
