Problem 1

Find all triples (x,y,z)(x,y,z) of positive rationals such that x+y+zx + y + z , 1x+1y+1z\dfrac{1}{x} + \dfrac{1}{y} + \dfrac{1}{z} and xyzxyz are all integers.

Problem 2

Let be given two parallel lines kk and ll , and a circle not intersecting kk . Consider a variable point AA on the line kk . The two tangents from this point AA to the circle intersect the line ll at BB and CC . Let mm be the line through the point AA and the midpoint of the segment BCBC . Prove that all the lines mm (as AA varies) have a common point.

Problem 3

kk is a fixed positive integer. Let ana_n be the number of maps ff from the subsets of {1,2,...,n}\{1, 2, ... , n\} to {1,2,...,k}\{1, 2, ... , k\} such that for all subsets A,BA, B of {1,2,...,n}\{1, 2, ... , n\} we have f(A∩B)=min⁡(f(A),f(B))f(A \cap B) = \min (f(A), f(B)) . Find lim⁡n→∞ann\lim_{n \to \infty} \sqrt[n]{a_n} .

Problem 4

m,nm, n are relatively prime. We have three jugs which contain mm , nn and m+nm+n liters. Initially the largest jug is full of water. Show that for any kk in {1,2,...,m+n}\{1, 2, ... , m+n\} we can get exactly kk liters into one of the jugs.

Problem 5

A parallelopiped has vertices A1,A2,...,A8A_1, A_2, ... , A_8 and center OO . Show that: 4∑i=18OAi2≤(∑i=18OAi)24 \sum_{i=1}^8 OA_i ^2 \leq \left(\sum_{i=1}^8 OA_i \right) ^2

Problem 6

The distinct reals x1,x2,...,xnx_1, x_2, ... , x_n ,( n>3n > 3 ) satisfy ∑i=1nxi=0\sum_{i=1}^n x_i = 0 , ∑i=1nxi2=1\sum_{i=1}^n x_i ^2 = 1 . Show that four of the numbers a,b,c,da, b, c, d must satisfy: a+b+c+nabc≤∑i=1nxi3≤a+b+d+nabda + b + c + nabc \leq \sum_{i=1}^n x_i ^3 \leq a + b + d + nabd.
