Day 1

Problem 1

  • Day 1

Let △ABC\triangle{ABC} be a triangle. A circle passing through BB and CC intersects ABAB and ACAC at points DD and EE respectively. The orthogonal projections of points BB and EE onto CDCD are noted respectively B′B' and E′E' . The orthogonal projections of points DD and CC onto BEBE are noted respectively D′D' and C′C' . Show that points B′B' , C′C' , D′D' and E′E' lie on the same circle.

Let x1,x2,…,x20x_1,x_2,\ldots,x_{20} and y1,y2,…,y20y_1,y_2,\ldots,y_{20} be 2 sequences, so that each term of each sequence is either 00 or 11 . How many couples ((xi),(yi))((x_i),(y_i)) where i=1,2,…,20i=1,2,\ldots,20 of such sequences exist such that x1y1+x2y2+…+x20y20x_1y_1+x_2y_2+\ldots+x_{20}y_{20} is an even number ?
