Day 1

Problem 1

  • Day 1

Let ABAB and CDCD be two perpendicular diameters of a circle with centre OO . Consider a point MM on the diameter ABAB , different from AA and BB . The line CMCM cuts the circle again at NN . The tangent at NN to the circle and the perpendicular at MM to AMAM intersect at PP . Show that OP=CMOP = CM .

Problem 2

  • Day 1

Let a,b,ca, b, c be three non-zero integers. It is known that the sums ab+bc+ca\frac{a}{b}+\frac{b}{c}+\frac{c}{a} and ba+cb+ac\frac{b}{a}+\frac{c}{b}+\frac{a}{c} are integers. Find these sums.

Problem 3

  • Day 1

For a real number xx let ⌊x⌋\lfloor x\rfloor be the greatest integer less than or equal to xx and let {x}=x−⌊x⌋\{x\} = x - \lfloor x\rfloor . If a,b,ca, b, c are distinct real numbers, prove that a3(a−b)(a−c)+b3(b−a)(b−c)+c3(c−a)(c−b)\frac{a^3}{(a-b)(a-c)}+\frac{b^3}{(b-a)(b-c)}+\frac{c^3}{(c-a)(c-b)} is an integer if and only if {a}+{b}+{c}\{a\} + \{b\} + \{c\} is an integer.

Problem 4

  • Day 2

For every positive integer kk let a(k)a(k) be the largest integer such that 2a(k)2^{a(k)} divides kk . For every positive integer nn determine a(1)+a(2)+⋯+a(2n)a(1)+a(2)+\cdots+a(2^n) .

Problem 5

  • Day 2

In how many ways can the integers from 11 to 20062006 be divided into three non-empty disjoint sets so that none of these sets contains a pair of consecutive integers?

Problem 6

  • Day 2

Let ABCABC be a right angled triangle at AA . Denote DD the foot of the altitude through AA and O1,O2O_1, O_2 the incentres of triangles ADBADB and ADCADC . The circle with centre AA and radius ADAD cuts ABAB in KK and ACAC in LL . Show that O1,O2,KO_1, O_2, K and LL are on a line.
