Problem 1

Let nn be a positive integer. Show that there exist positive integers aa and bb such that:

a2+a+1b2+b+1=n2+n+1\frac{a^{2}+a+1}{b^{2}+b+1}=n^{2}+n+1

Problem 2

Let a,b,α,βa, b, \alpha, \beta be real numbers such that 0≤a,b≤10 \leq a, b \leq 1, and 0≤α,β≤π20 \leq \alpha, \beta \leq \frac{\pi}{2}. Show that if

abcos⁡(α−β)≤(1−a2)(1−b2)a b \cos (\alpha-\beta) \leq \sqrt{\left(1-a^{2}\right)\left(1-b^{2}\right)}

then

acos⁡α+bsin⁡β≤1+absin⁡(β−α)a \cos \alpha+b \sin \beta \leq 1+a b \sin (\beta-\alpha)

Problem 3

Let MM and NN be the midpoints of the sides ACA C and ABA B, respectively, of an acute triangle ABC,AB≠ACA B C, A B \neq A C. Let ωB\omega_{B} be the circle centered at MM passing through BB, and let ωC\omega_{C} be the circle centered at NN passing through CC. Let the point DD be such that ABCDA B C D is an isosceles trapezoid with ADA D parallel to BCB C. Assume that ωB\omega_{B} and ωC\omega_{C} intersect in two distinct points PP and QQ. Show that DD lies on the line PQP Q.

Problem 4

Find all integers nn and m,n>m>2m, n>m>2, and such that a regular nn-sided polygon can be inscribed in a regular mm-sided polygon so that all the vertices of the nn-gon lie on the sides of the mm-gon.
