Problem 1

The function ff is defined for non-negative integers and satisfies the condition

f(n)={f(f(n+11)), if n≤1999n−5, if n>1999f(n)= \begin{cases}f(f(n+11)), & \text { if } n \leq 1999 \\ n-5, & \text { if } n>1999\end{cases}

Find all solutions of the equation f(n)=1999f(n)=1999.

Problem 2

Consider 7-gons inscribed in a circle such that all sides of the 7-gon are of different length. Determine the maximal number of 120∘120^{\circ} angles in this kind of a 7-gon.

Problem 3

The infinite integer plane Z×Z=Z2\mathbb{Z} \times \mathbb{Z}=\mathbb{Z}^{2} consists of all number pairs (x,y)(x, y), where xx and yy are integers. Let aa and bb be non-negative integers. We call any move from a point (x,y)(x, y) to any of the points (x±a,y±b)(x \pm a, y \pm b) or (x±b,y±a)a(a,b)(x \pm b, y \pm a) a(a, b)-knight move. Determine all numbers aa and bb, for which it is possible to reach all points of the integer plane from an arbitrary starting point using only (a,b)(a, b)-knight moves.

Problem 4

Let a1,a2,…,ana_{1}, a_{2}, \ldots, a_{n} be positive real numbers and n≥1n \geq 1. Show that

n(1a1+⋯+1an)≥(11+a1+⋯+11+an)(n+1a1+⋯+1an)\begin{aligned} & n\left(\frac{1}{a_{1}}+\cdots+\frac{1}{a_{n}}\right) \\ & \geq\left(\frac{1}{1+a_{1}}+\cdots+\frac{1}{1+a_{n}}\right)\left(n+\frac{1}{a_{1}}+\cdots+\frac{1}{a_{n}}\right) \end{aligned}
