Other problems

Problem 1

Determine all triples of positive integers (a,b,n)(a, b, n) that satisfy the following equation: a!+b!=2na! + b! = 2^n

Problem 2

Let ABCABC be a triangle. Points PP and QQ lie on side BCBC and satisfy ∣BP∣=∣PQ∣=∣QC∣=13∣BC∣|BP| =|PQ| = |QC| = \frac13 |BC| . Points RR and SS lie on side CACA and satisfy ∣CR∣=∣RS∣=∣SA∣=13∣CA∣|CR| =|RS| = |SA| = 1 3 |CA| . Finally, points TT and UU lie on side ABAB and satisfy ∣AT∣=∣TU∣=∣UB∣=13∣AB∣|AT| = |TU| = |UB| =\frac13 |AB| . Points P,Q,R,S,TP, Q,R, S, T and UU turn out to lie on a common circle. Prove that ABCABC is an equilateral triangle.

Problem 3

In a tournament among six teams, every team plays against each other team exactly once. When a team wins, it receives 33 points and the losing team receives 00 points. If the game is a draw, the two teams receive 11 point each. Can the final scores of the six teams be six consecutive numbers a,a+1,...,a+5a,a +1,...,a + 5 ? If so, determine all values of aa for which this is possible.

Problem 4

Determine all pairs of positive real numbers (a,b)(a, b) with a>ba > b that satisfy the following equations: aa+bb=134a\sqrt{a}+ b\sqrt{b} = 134 and ab+ba=126a\sqrt{b}+ b\sqrt{a} = 126 .

Problem 5

The number devil has coloured the integer numbers: every integer is coloured either black or white. The number 11 is coloured white. For every two white numbers aa and bb ( aa and bb are allowed to be equal) the numbers a−ba-b and a+a + b have di fferent colours. Prove that 20112011 is coloured white.
