Problem 1

f(x)=x3−ax+1f(x) = x^3-ax+1 , a∈Ra \in R has three different zeros in RR . Prove that for the zero xox_o with the smallest absolute value holds: 1a<x0<2a\frac{1}{a}< x_0 < \frac{2}{a}

Problem 2

Find the product of all divisors of 1980n1980^n , n≥1n \ge 1 .

Problem 3

Given is the non-right triangle ABCABC . D,ED,E and FF are the feet of the respective altitudes from A,BA,B and CC . P,QP,Q and RR are the respective midpoints of the line segments EFEF , FDFD and DEDE . p⊥BCp \perp BC passes through PP , q⊥CAq \perp CA passes through QQ and r⊥ABr \perp AB passes through RR . Prove that the lines p,qp, q and rr pass through one point.

Problem 4

In Venetiania, the smallest currency is the ducat. The finance minister instructs his officials as follows: "I wish six kinds of banknotes, each worth a whole number of ducats. Those six values must be such that there exists a number N with the following property: Any amount of money of nn ducats ( nn positive and integer) where n≤Nn \le N may be paid in such a way that no more than two copies of each kind are required either to pay or to return. I also wish those six values to be as large as possible for NN . Determine those six values and provide proof that all conditions have been met." Solve the problem of those officials
