Problem 1

A knight is placed on each square of the first column of a 2017×20172017 \times 2017 board. A move consists in choosing two different knights and moving each of them to a square which is one knight-step away. Find all integers kk with 1≤k≤20171 \leq k \leq 2017 such that it is possible for each square in the kk -th column to contain one knight after a finite number of moves.

Note: Two squares are a knight-step away if they are opposite corners of a 2×32 \times 3 or 3×23 \times 2 board.

Problem 2

A set of nn positive integers is said to be balanced if for each integer kk with 1≤k≤n1 \leq k \leq n , the average of any kk numbers in the set is an integer. Find the maximum possible sum of the elements of a balanced set, all of whose elements are less than or equal to 20172017 .

Problem 3

Let ABCABC be an acute triangle with orthocenter HH . The circle through B,HB, H , and CC intersects lines ABAB and ACAC at DD and EE respectively, and segment DEDE intersects HBHB and HCHC at PP and QQ respectively. Two points XX and YY , both different from AA , are located on lines APAP and AQAQ respectively such that X,H,A,BX, H, A, B are concyclic and Y,H,A,CY, H, A, C are concyclic. Show that lines XYXY and BCBC are parallel.

Problem 4

A subset BB of {1,2,…,2017}\{1, 2, \dots, 2017\} is said to have property TT if any three elements of BB are the sides of a nondegenerate triangle. Find the maximum number of elements that a set with property TT may contain.

Problem 5

On a circle Γ\Gamma , points A,B,N,C,D,MA, B, N, C, D, M are chosen in a clockwise order in such a way that NN and MM are the midpoints of clockwise arcs BCBC and ADAD respectively. Let PP be the intersection of ACAC and BDBD , and let QQ be a point on line MBMB such that PQPQ is perpendicular to MNMN . Point RR is chosen on segment MCMC such that QB=RCQB = RC , prove that the midpoint of QRQR lies on ACAC .

Problem 6

Let n≥2n \geq 2 and mm be positive integers. mm ballot boxes are placed in a line. Two players AA and BB play by turns, beginning with AA , in the following manner. Each turn, AA chooses two boxes and places a ballot in each of them. Afterwards, BB chooses one of the boxes, and removes every ballot from it. AA wins if after some turn of BB , there exists a box containing nn ballots. For each nn , find the minimum value of mm such that AA can guarantee a win independently of how BB plays.
