Other problems

Problem 1

Let abab be a two digit number. A positive integer nn is a relative of abab if:

  • The units digit of nn is bb .
  • The remaining digits of nn are nonzero and add up to aa .

Find all two digit numbers which divide all of their relatives.

Problem 2

Let ABCABC be a right triangle with a right angle at AA , such that AB<ACAB < AC . Let MM be the midpoint of BCBC and DD the intersection of ACAC with the perpendicular on BCBC passing through MM . Let EE be the intersection of the parallel to ACAC that passes through MM , with the perpendicular on BDBD passing through BB . Show that the triangles AEMAEM and MCAMCA are similar if and only if ∠ABC=60o\angle ABC = 60^o .

Problem 3

Let nn be an integer greater than 11 . In how many ways can we fill all the numbers 1,2,...,2n1, 2,..., 2n in the boxes of a grid of 2×n2\times n , one in each box, so that any two consecutive numbers are they in squares that share one side of the grid?

Problem 4

For which positive integers nn can be covered a ladder like that of the figure (but with nn steps instead of 44 ) with nn squares of integer sides, not necessarily the same size, without these squares overlapping and without standing out from the edge of the figure ?

Problem 5

Let ABCABC be an acute triangle , with altitudes AD,BEAD,BE and CFCF . Circle of diameter ADAD intersects the sides AB,ACAB,AC in M,NM,N respevtively. Let P,QP,Q be the intersection points of ADAD with EFEF and MNMN respectively. Show that QQ is the midpoint of PDPD .

Problem 6

Let n be the sum of the digits in a natural number A. The number A it's said to be "surtido" if every number 1,2,3,4....,n can be expressed as a sum of digits in A.

a)Prove that, if 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 are sums of digits in A, then A is "Surtido" b)If 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 are sums of digits in A, does it follow that A is "Surtido"?
