Problem 1

ABCABC is a triangle with ∠A=90o\angle A = 90^o . Take EE such that the triangle AECAEC is outside ABCABC and AE=CEAE = CE and ∠AEC=90o\angle AEC = 90^o . Similarly, take DD so that ADBADB is outside ABCABC and similar to AECAEC . OO is the midpoint of BCBC . Let the lines ODOD and ECEC meet at D′D' , and the lines OEOE and BDBD meet at E′E' . Find area DED′E′DED'E' in terms of the sides of ABCABC .

Problem 2

Find all numbers between 100100 and 999999 which equal the sum of the cubes of their digits.

Problem 3

Given a pentagon of area 19931993 and 995995 points inside the pentagon, let SS be the set containing the vertices of the pentagon and the 995995 points. Show that we can find three points of SS which form a triangle of area ≤1\le 1 .

Problem 4

f(n,k)f(n,k) is defined by (1) f(n,0)=f(n,n)=1f(n,0) = f(n,n) = 1 and (2) f(n,k)=f(n−1,k−1)+f(n−1,k)f(n,k) = f(n-1,k-1) + f(n-1,k) for 0<k<n0 < k < n . How many times do we need to use (2) to find f(3991,1993)f(3991,1993) ?

Problem 5

OA,OB,OCOA, OB, OC are three chords of a circle. The circles with diameters OA,OBOA, OB meet again at ZZ , the circles with diameters OB,OCOB, OC meet again at XX , and the circles with diameters OC,OAOC, OA meet again at YY . Show that X,Y,ZX, Y, Z are collinear.

Problem 6

pp is an odd prime. Show that pp divides n(n+1)(n+2)(n+3)+1n(n+1)(n+2)(n+3) + 1 for some integer nn iff pp divides m2−5m^2 - 5 for some integer mm .
