Other problems

Problem 1

Determine all natural numbers nn such that 9n−79^n - 7 can be represented as a product of at least two consecutive natural numbers.

Problem 2

Let nn be a natural number and CC a non-negative real number. Determine the number of sequences of real numbers 1,x2,...,xn,11, x_{2}, ..., x_{n}, 1 such that the absolute value of the difference between any two adjacent terms is equal to CC .

Problem 3

Determine all functions f:R→Rf: \mathbb{R} \rightarrow \mathbb{R} such that: f(max⁡{x,y}+min⁡{f(x),f(y)})=x+yf(\max \left\{ x, y \right\} + \min \left\{ f(x), f(y) \right\}) = x+y for all real x,y∈Rx,y \in \mathbb{R} Proposed by Nikola Velov

Problem 4

Let tk=a1k+a2k+...+ankt_{k} = a_{1}^k + a_{2}^k +...+a_{n}^k , where a1a_{1} , a2a_{2} , ... ana_{n} are positive real numbers and k∈Nk \in \mathbb{N} . Prove that t52t1615−t44t22t126+t23t4510≥0\frac{t_{5}^2 t_1^{6}}{15} - \frac{t_{4}^4 t_{2}^2 t_{1}^2}{6} + \frac{t_{2}^3 t_{4}^5}{10} \geq 0 Proposed by Daniel Velinov

Problem 5

Given is an acute △ABC\triangle ABC with orthocenter HH . The point H′H' is symmetric to HH over the side ABAB . Let NN be the intersection point of HH′HH' and ABAB . The circle passing through AA , NN and H′H' intersects ACAC for the second time in MM , and the circle passing through BB , NN and H′H' intersects BCBC for the second time in PP . Prove that MM , NN and PP are collinear.
