MEMO 2007 I3

  • Individual

Let kk be a circle and k1,k2,k3,k4k_{1},k_{2},k_{3},k_{4} four smaller circles with their centres O1,O2,O3,O4O_{1},O_{2},O_{3},O_{4} respectively, on kk . For i=1,2,3,4i = 1,2,3,4 and k5=k1k_{5}= k_{1} the circles kik_{i} and ki+1k_{i+1} meet at AiA_{i} and BiB_{i} such that AiA_{i} lies on kk . The points O1,A1,O2,A2,O3,A3,O4,A4O_{1},A_{1},O_{2},A_{2},O_{3},A_{3},O_{4},A_{4} lie in that order on kk and are pairwise different.

Prove that B1B2B3B4B_{1}B_{2}B_{3}B_{4} is a rectangle.
