Other problems

Problem 1

Given a triangle ABCABC with its incircle touching sides BC,CA,ABBC,CA,AB at A1,B1,C1A_1,B_1,C_1 , respectively. Let the median from AA intersects B1C1B_1C_1 at MM . Show that A1M⊥BCA_1M\perp BC .

Problem 2

Given a prime number pp and let v1‾,v2‾,…,vn‾\overline{v_1},\overline{v_2},\dotsc ,\overline{v_n} be nn distinct vectors of length pp with integer coordinates in an R3\mathbb{R}^3 Cartesian coordinate system. Suppose that for any 1⩽j<k⩽n1\leqslant j<k\leqslant n , there exists an integer 0<ℓ<p0<\ell <p such that all three coordinates of vj‾−ℓ⋅vk‾\overline{v_j} -\ell \cdot \overline{v_k} is divisible by pp . Prove that n⩽6n\leqslant 6 .

Problem 3

In a village (where only dwarfs live) there are kk streets, and there are k(n−1)+1k(n-1)+1 clubs each containing nn dwarfs. A dwarf can be in more than one clubs, and two dwarfs know each other if they live in the same street or they are in the same club (there is a club they are both in).

Prove that is it possible to choose nn different dwarfs from nn different clubs (one dwarf from each club), such that the nn dwarfs know each other!
