Other problems

Problem 1

In a acute triangle △ABC\triangle ABC , denote D,ED, E as the foot of the perpendicular from BB to ACAC and CC to ABAB . Denote the reflection of EE with respect to AC,BCAC, BC as S,TS, T . The circumcircle of △CST\triangle CST hits ACAC at point X(≠C)X (\not= C) . Denote the circumcenter of △CST\triangle CST as OO . Prove that XO⊥DEXO \perp DE .

Problem 2

Two integers n,kn, k satisfies n≥2n \ge 2 and k≥52n−1k \ge \frac{5}{2}n-1 . Prove that whichever kk lattice points with xx and yy coordinate no less than 11 and no more than nn we pick, there must be a circle passing through at least four of these points.

Problem 3

Prove that for all rationals x,yx,y , x−1x+y−1y=4x-\frac{1}{x}+y-\frac{1}{y}=4 is not true.

Problem 4

If x,y,zx,y,z satisfies x2+y2+z2=1x^2+y^2+z^2=1 , find the maximum possible value of (x2−yz)(y2−zx)(z2−xy)(x^2-yz)(y^2-zx)(z^2-xy)

Problem 6

Let UU be a set of mm triangles. Prove that there exists a subset WW of UU which satisfies the following.

(i). The number of triangles in WW is at least 0.45m450.45m^{\frac{4}{5}} (ii) There are no points A,B,C,D,E,FA, B, C, D, E, F such that triangles ABCABC , BCDBCD , CDECDE , DEFDEF , EFAEFA , FABFAB are all in WW .
