    (a) Prove that for every positive integer nn, there exists a fraction ab\frac{a}{b} where aa and bb are integers satisfying 0<b⩽n+10<b \leqslant \sqrt{n}+1 and n⩽ab⩽n+1\sqrt{n} \leqslant \frac{a}{b} \leqslant \sqrt{n+1}. (b) Prove that there are infinitely many positive integers nn such that there is no fraction ab\frac{a}{b} where aa and bb are integers satisfying 0<b⩽n0<b \leqslant \sqrt{n} and n⩽ab⩽n+1\sqrt{n} \leqslant \frac{a}{b} \leqslant \sqrt{n+1}.
