ISL 1979 Problem 79

Let SS be a unit circle and KK a subset of SS consisting of several closed arcs. Let KK satisfy the following properties: (i)(\text{i}) KK contains three points A,B,CA,B,C , that are the vertices of an acute-angled triangle (ii)(\text{ii}) For every point AA that belongs to KK its diametrically opposite point A′A' and all points BB on an arc of length 19\frac{1}{9} with center A′A' do not belong to KK . Prove that there are three points E,F,GE,F,G on SS that are vertices of an equilateral triangle and that do not belong to KK .
