Let $E$ be the intersection of the diagonals of convex quadrilateral $ABCD$. Suppose that $AB=CD$, and the areas of triangles $ABE$ and $CDE$ are equal. Prove that the quadrilateral is a parallelogram or an isosceles trapezoid.
