Let ABAB and CDCD be two chords in a circle Ω\Omega. Choose a circle ω\omega tangent to the segments ABAB and CDCD at their interior points MM and NN respectively, and let ω\omega intersect Ω\Omega at PP and QQ. Suppose that a third circle ω′\omega', distinct from Ω\Omega and ω\omega, and also passing through PP and QQ, meets the line MNMN at M′M' and N′N'. Prove that the points AA, BB, CC, DD, M′M', and N′N' lie on a conic section that is tangent to ω′\omega' at M′M' and N′N'.
