Let {xn}\{x_n\} be the van der Korput sequence, that is, if the binary representation of the positive integer nn is n=∑iai2in = \sum_i a_i2^i (ai∈{0,1}a_i\in\{0,1\}), then xn=∑iai2−i−1x_n = \sum_i a_i2^{-i-1}. Let VV be the set of points (n,xn)(n,x_n) in the plane where nn runs over the positive integers. Let GG be the graph with vertex set VV that is connecting any two distinct points pp and qq if and only if there is a rectangle RR which lies in a parallel position to the axes and R∩V={p,q}R\cap V = \{p,q\}. Prove that the chromatic number of GG is finite.
