Let HH be a set with nn elements and let each of the families S\mathcal S and T\mathcal T consist of pp subsets of HH such that these 2pp subsets are pairwise distinct. Suppose that for every A∈SA\in \mathcal S and B∈TB\in \mathcal T , the sets AA and BB have at least one common element. Show that p2n<3−52\frac{p}{2^n}<\frac{3-\sqrt{5}}{2}.
