Problem 1

Determine the value of the expression x2+y2+z2x^2 + y^2 + z^2 ,

if x+y+z=13x + y + z = 13 , xyz=72xyz= 72 and 1x+1y+1z=34\frac1x + \frac1y + \frac1z = \frac34 .

Problem 2

The center of the circumcircle of the acute triangle ABCABC is MM , and the circumcircle of ABMABM meets BCBC and ACAC at PP and QQ ( P≠BP\ne B ). Show that the extension of the line segment CMCM is perpendicular to PQPQ .

Problem 3

The points P=(a,b)P = (a, b) and Q=(c,d)Q = (c, d) are in the first quadrant of the xyxy plane, and a,b,ca, b, c and dd are integers satisfying a<b,a<c,b<da < b, a < c, b < d and c<dc < d . A route from point PP to point QQ is a broken line consisting of unit steps in the directions of the positive coordinate axes. An allowed route is a route not touching the line x=yx = y . Tetermine the number of allowed routes.

Problem 4

The radius rr of a circle with center at the origin is an odd integer. There is a point ( pm,qnp^m, q^n ) on the circle, with p,qp,q prime numbers and m,nm,n positive integers. Determine rr .

Problem 5

Determine the smallest number n∈Z+n \in Z_+ , which can be written as n=Σa∈Aa2n = \Sigma_{a\in A}a^2 , where AA is a finite set of positive integers and Σa∈Aa=2014\Sigma_{a\in A}a= 2014 . In other words: what is the smallest positive number which can be written as a sum of squares of different positive integers summing to 20142014 ?
