Problem 1

Vertices A,B,CA, B, C of a equilateral triangle of side 11 are in the surface of a sphere with radius 11 and center OO . Let DD be the orthogonal projection of AA on the plane α\alpha determined by points B,C,OB, C, O . Let NN be one of the intersections of the line perpendicular to α\alpha passing through OO with the sphere. Find the angle ∠DNO\angle DNO .

Problem 2

Given a positive integer nn , we define λ(n)\lambda (n) as the number of positive integer solutions of x2−y2=nx^2-y^2=n . We say that nn is olympic if λ(n)=2021\lambda (n) = 2021 . Which is the smallest olympic positive integer? Which is the smallest olympic positive odd integer?

Problem 3

We have 20212021 colors and 20212021 chips of each color. We place the 202122021^2 chips in a row. We say that a chip FF is bad if there is an odd number of chips that have a different color to FF both to the left and to the right of FF .

(a) Determine the minimum possible number of bad chips.

(b) If we impose the additional condition that each chip must have at least one adjacent chip of the same color, determine the minimum possible number of bad chips.

Problem 4

Let a,b,c,da,b,c,d real numbers such that: a+b+c+d=0 and a2+b2+c2+d2=12a+b+c+d=0 \text{ and } a^2+b^2+c^2+d^2 = 12 Find the minimum and maximum possible values for abcdabcd , and determine for which values of a,b,c,da,b,c,d the minimum and maximum are attained.

Problem 5

We have 2n2n lights in two rows, numbered from 11 to nn in each row. Some (or none) of the lights are on and the others are off, we call that a "state". Two states are distinct if there is a light which is on in one of them and off in the other. We say that a state is good if there is the same number of lights turned on in the first row and in the second row.

Prove that the total number of good states divided by the total number of states is: 3⋅5⋅7⋯(2n−1)2nn!\frac{3 \cdot 5 \cdot 7 \cdots (2n-1)}{2^n n!}

Problem 6

Let ABCABC be a triangle with AB≠ACAB \neq AC , let II be its incenter, γ\gamma its inscribed circle and DD the midpoint of BCBC . The tangent to γ\gamma from DD different to BCBC touches γ\gamma in EE . Prove that AEAE and DIDI are parallel.
