ELMO 2024 Problem 5

In triangle ABCABC with AB<ACAB<AC and AB+AC=2BCAB+AC=2BC , let MM be the midpoint of BC‾\overline{BC} . Choose point PP on the extension of BA‾\overline{BA} past AA and point QQ on segment AC‾\overline{AC} such that MM lies on PQ‾\overline{PQ} . Let XX be on the opposite side of AB‾\overline{AB} from CC such that AX‾∥BC‾\overline{AX} \parallel \overline{BC} and AX=AP=AQAX=AP=AQ . Let BX‾\overline{BX} intersect the circumcircle of BMQBMQ again at Y≠BY \neq B , and let CX‾\overline{CX} intersect the circumcircle of CMPCMP again at Z≠CZ \neq C . Prove that AA , YY , and ZZ are collinear.
