Other problems

Problem 1

Find all real numbers x,yx,y satisfying the following system of equations \begin{align*} x^4 +y^4 & =17(x+y)^2 xy & =2(x+y). \end{align*}

Problem 2

Let kk be a circle with center M.M. There is another circle k1k_1 whose center M1M_1 lies on k,k, and we denote the line through MM and M1M_1 by g.g. Let TT be a point on k1k_1 and inside k.k. The tangent tt to k1k_1 at TT intersects kk in two points AA and B.B. Denote the tangents (diifferent from tt ) to k1k_1 passing through AA and BB by aa and bb , respectively. Prove that the lines a,b,a,b, and gg are either concurrent or parallel.

Problem 3

Prove that for every positive integer nn there is an nn -digit number zz with none of its digits 00 and such that zz is divisible by its sum of digits.

Problem 4

For a positive integer n,n, let ana_n be the integer closest to n.\sqrt{n}. Compute 1a1+1a2+⋯+1a2004.\frac{1}{a_1 } + \frac{1}{a_2 }+ \cdots + \frac{1}{a_{2004}}.

Problem 5

Prove that for four positive real numbers a,b,c,da,b,c,d the following inequality holds and find all equality cases: a3+b3+c3+d3≥a2b+b2c+c2d+d2a.a^3 +b^3 +c^3 +d^3 \geq a^2 b +b^2 c+ c^2 d +d^2 a.
