Round 1

Problem 2

  • Round 1

Find all triples (x, y, z)\left(x,\ y,\ z\right) of integers satisfying the following system of equations:

x3−4x2−16x+60=yx^3-4x^2-16x+60=y ; y3−4y2−16y+60=zy^3-4y^2-16y+60=z ; z3−4z2−16z+60=xz^3-4z^2-16z+60=x .

Problem 6

  • Round 2

The sequence {a1,a2,…}\{a_1,a_2,\ldots\} is recursively defined by a1=1a_1 = 1 , a2=1a_2 = 1 , a3=2a_3 = 2 , and an+3=1an⋅(an+1an+2+7), ∀ n>0.a_{n+3} = \frac 1{a_n}\cdot (a_{n+1}a_{n+2}+7), \ \forall \ n > 0. Prove that all elements of the sequence are integers.

Problem 7

  • Round 2

Consider a cyclic quadrilateral ABCDABCD , and let SS be the intersection of ACAC and BDBD . Let EE and FF the orthogonal projections of SS on ABAB and CDCD respectively. Prove that the perpendicular bisector of segment EFEF meets the segments ADAD and BCBC at their midpoints.

Problem 8

  • Round 2

Let pp and qq be two positive integers that have no common divisor. The set of integers shall be partioned into three subsets AA , BB , CC such that for each integer zz in each of the sets AA , BB , CC there is exactly one of the numbers zz , z+pz+p and z+qz+q .

a) Prove that such a decomposition is possible if and only if p+qp+q is divisible by 33 .

b) In the case we omit the restriction that pp , qq may not have a common divisor, prove that for p≠qp \neq q the number p+qgcd⁡(p,q)\frac{p+q}{\gcd(p,q)} is divisible by 3.
