Problem 1

Martin has two boxes AA and BB . In the box AA there are 100100 red balls numbered from 11 to 100100 , each one with one of these numbers. In the box BB there are 100100 blue balls numbered from 101101 to 200200 , each one with one of these numbers. Martin chooses two positive integers aa and bb , both less than or equal to 100100 , and then he takes out aa balls from box AA and bb balls from box BB , without replacement. Martin's goal is to have two red balls and one blue ball among all balls taken such that the sum of the numbers of two red balls equals the number of the blue ball.

What is the least possible value of a+ba+b so that Martin achieves his goal for sure? For such a minimum value of a+ba+b , give an example of aa and bb satisfying the goal and explain why every aa and bb with smaller sum cannot accomplish the aim.

Problem 2

We say that a positive integer MM with 2n2n digits is hypersquared if the following three conditions are met:

  • MM is a perfect square.
  • The number formed by the first nn digits of MM is a perfect square.
  • The number formed by the last nn digits of MM is a perfect square and has exactly nn digits (its first digit is not zero).

Find a hypersquared number with 20002000 digits.

Problem 3

Let n≥3n\geq 3 an integer. Determine whether there exist permutations (a1,a2,…,an)(a_1,a_2, \ldots, a_n) of the numbers (1,2,…,n)(1,2,\ldots, n) and (b1,b2,…,bn)(b_1, b_2, \ldots, b_n) of the numbers (n+1,n+2,…,2n)(n+1,n+2,\ldots, 2n) so that (a1b1,a2b2,…anbn)(a_1b_1, a_2b_2, \ldots a_nb_n) is a strictly increasing arithmetic progression.

Problem 4

Find all positive prime numbers p,q,r,sp,q,r,s so that p2+2019=26(q2+r2+s2)p^2+2019=26(q^2+r^2+s^2) .

Problem 5

Let n≥3n\geq 3 a positive integer. In each cell of a n×nn\times n chessboard one must write 11 or 22 in such a way the sum of all written numbers in each 2×32\times 3 and 3×23\times 2 sub-chessboard is even. How many different ways can the chessboard be completed?

Problem 6

Let ABCABC be an acute-angled triangle with AB<ACAB< AC , and let HH be its orthocenter. The circumference with diameter AHAH meets the circumscribed circumference of ABCABC at P≠AP\neq A . The tangent to the circumscribed circumference of ABCABC through PP intersects line BCBC at QQ . Show that QP=QHQP=QH .
