Problem 2

Define the sequence {an}\{a_n\} in the following manner: a1=1a_1=1 a2=3a_2=3 an+2=2an+1an+1a_{n+2}=2a_{n+1}a_{n}+1 ; for all n≥1n\geq1 Prove that the largest power of 22 that divides a4006−a4005a_{4006}-a_{4005} is 22003.2^{2003}.

Problem 3

Let ABCABC be an acute triangle such that ∠B=60\angle{B}=60 . The circle with diameter ACAC intersects the internal angle bisectors of AA and CC at the points MM and NN , respectively (M≠A,(M\neq{A}, N≠C)N\neq{C}) . The internal bisector of ∠B\angle{B} intersects MNMN and ACAC at the points RR and SS , respectively. Prove that BR≤RSBR\leq{RS} .

Problem 4

In an acute triangle ABCABC , the points HH , GG , and MM are located on BCBC in such a way that AHAH , AGAG , and AMAM are the height, angle bisector, and median of the triangle, respectively. It is known that HG=GMHG=GM , AB=10AB=10 , and AC=14AC=14 . Find the area of triangle ABCABC .

Problem 5

Let n=3k+1n=3k+1 , where kk is a positive integer. A triangular arrangement of side nn is formed using circles with the same radius, as is shown in the figure for n=7n=7 . Determine, for each kk , the largest number of circles that can be colored red in such a way that there are no two mutually tangent circles that are both colored red.
