Problem 1

It is known that a2005+b2005a^{2005} + b^{2005} can be expressed as the polynomial of a+ba + b and abab . Find the coefficients' sum of this polynomial.

Problem 2

Given three points PP , AA , BB and a circle such that the lines PAPA and PBPB are tangent to the circle at the points AA and BB , respectively. A line through the point PP intersects that circle at two points CC and DD . Through the point BB , draw a line parallel to PAPA ; let this line intersect the lines ACAC and ADAD at the points EE and FF , respectively. Prove that BE=BFBE = BF .

Problem 4

Given is the positive integer n>2n > 2 . Real numbers ∣xi∣≤1\mid x_i \mid \leq 1 ( i=1,2,...,ni = 1, 2, ..., n ) satisfying ∣∑i=1nxi∣>1\mid \sum_{i=1}^{n}x_i \mid > 1 . Prove that there exists positive integer kk such that ∣∑i=1kxi−∑i=k+1nxi∣≤1\mid \sum_{i=1}^{k}x_i - \sum_{i=k+1}^{n}x_i \mid \leq 1 .

Problem 5

Circles C(O1)C(O_1) and C(O2)C(O_2) intersect at points AA , BB . CDCD passing through point O1O_1 intersects C(O1)C(O_1) at point DD and tangents C(O2)C(O_2) at point CC . ACAC tangents C(O1)C(O_1) at AA . Draw AE⊥CDAE \bot CD , and AEAE intersects C(O1)C(O_1) at EE . Draw AF⊥DEAF \bot DE , and AFAF intersects DEDE at FF . Prove that BDBD bisects AFAF .

Problem 6

In isosceles right-angled triangle ABCABC , CA=CB=1CA = CB = 1 . PP is an arbitrary point on the sides of ABCABC . Find the maximum of PA⋅PB⋅PCPA \cdot PB \cdot PC .

Problem 7

If a,b,ca,b,c are positive reals such that a+b+c=1a+b+c=1 , prove that 10(a3+b3+c3)−9(a5+b5+c5)≥1.10(a^3+b^3+c^3)-9(a^5+b^5+c^5)\geq 1 .

Problem 8

For nn people, if it is known that

(a) there exist two people knowing each other among any three people, and

(b) there exist two people not knowing each other among any four people.

Find the maximum of nn .

Here, we assume that if AA knows BB , then BB knows AA .
